Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon table salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk (whole milk recommended for richness)
  • 3 tablespoons dark rum
  • ¾ teaspoons vanilla extract

For the Rum Glaze (First Glaze):

  • 8 tablespoons (4 oz) unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup dark rum

Instructions

  1. Prepare for Baking: Begin by positioning your oven rack in the center of the oven and preheating it to 350˚F (175˚C).
